I am so done with Silkies. I love them so much. I wasn't the fancy chicken lover at first, but then I got a few and fell in love. Now I have over 30 of them. Turns out I'm allergic to the super fluffy show quality ones I have. So I'm rehoming all of them, even my precious Mouse and Stella. Both are pet quality and I love those two so much. But if I keep them, I really won't have a place for them.
This decision has taken me a few weeks to come to. Even after I just hatched out ALOT of show quality white silkies. I hate that I'm needing to do this, but I'm a one woman show here when it comes to all of my precious birds. This year has been a rough one for me as well as my flock of many.
Physically this has taken a toll on my health with birds that give me respiratory reactions. I am not affected by my Whiting True Greens, Ameraucanas, Turkeys, or Cochins. I'm assuming its just the poofy feathering much like a long haired cat which I am severely allergic to. I will miss my babies as they are the sweetest little things. But I will not risk my health any longer to care for them. They will be rehomed all as one flock. I may possibly split them into three flocks. There will be no picking and choosing of birds. The flocks will be divided and what's in the flock is what you will be buying. I will not split them one flock show quality and one pet quality. They will be mixed together.
Ages for birds will range from 1.5 yr down to 2 weeks old. Each flock will have Roosters and Hens unless it says straight run. Each flock will be listed when avail to purchase. I know everyone just wants the babies so they will be the last to be listed. Once FLOCK 1 is sold, Flock 2 will become avail and so on. At the moment I have a flock of just roosters that need to go. Once they are gone, Flock 1 will become avail.
Flock 1 Mix flock (6 months - 1.5 yrs old.) 10 total $200.
Flock 2 (4 weeks old) White and fun flock 11 total. $250. (straight runs)
Flock 3 (2 weeks old) Splash and black 7 total $175. (straight runs)
PRICING IS FIRM.
